At Arrowine it’s not only our fantastic selection
of fine cheese that makes us the best in the Washington, DC area, it’s our knowledgeable and passionate staff
that care and provide for all our wonderful goodies.
Our cheese selection includes hundreds of small artisanal producers
from the United States, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain,
England, Holland, and Canada. Perry Soulos, our cheese and
deli manager, seeks delicious cheese from among the smaller
farms and producers who are reinventing the world of American
cheese and charcuterie, as well as the fabulous European
producers who invented and refined them.
Working by his side is Aldo Molina, no stranger to the world of
cheese. Aldo lends his many years of knowledge and experience
from the cheese counters of Dean & DeLuca and the then-named
Fresh Fields. Those two gentlemen and also Neal Kennedy
and Billy Brooks round out our full-time cheese and deli staff.
If
the extensive selection is overwhelming, just ask for samples
or try the week’s specials. We want to share our passion
and knowledge with you. Ask us about the selections and
the cheesemakers. And please feel free to share your favorites
with us. We may be able to order it for you. We treat our
cheese selection just as we do our wine selection, dealing
with the best producers.
We can talk for hours about cheese, but since we rotate our selection
seasonally and add new items weekly, it is better to just
come in and experience all that Arrowine can offer.
